Lamb shoulder

Trying to be organised, last night I prepared some potatoes, carrots, onions - popped them in my slow cook pot - put the half lamb shoulder (cheap as chips) on top, covered with clingfilm, and left in the fridge overnight ready to load up this morning ...
I have a timer switch which plugs into the main socket - so ... the meat was timed to start cooking at 12noon to be ready for 8pm. Setting - LOW.
But somehow I managed to set the whole thing off at 8am rather than 12noon.
Fear not ... fat melted away ... lamb to die for ... served with steamed Savoy cabbage and mashed swede from the amazing Growing Well at Low Sizergh ... I am a very happy bunny.
